Alumni Association iPad Giveaway 2020

Though many things are different this year one thing remains the same, the generosity of father and daughter alumni, Tak Kwan, MD' 85 and Joanne Kwan, MD' 16 of The Kwan Foundation for Education and Technology. Each year first-year students line up eager to receive the iPad that will undoubtedly make their medical school journey a bit easier and as students lined up, with their masks on, to receive their iPad on September 24th it was clear the eagerness, excitement and gratitude would not be diminished by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Alumni Association would like to thank our generous donors, Drs. Tak and Joanne Kwan for their continued support of the association and SUNY Downstate's medical students! While classes and schedules have changed for students, the iPad donation has allowed all of us to retain some normalcy.
