SUNY Downstate Commencement 2019

On May 21st the Class of 2019 were no longer medical students, but doctors, who joined the ranks of many before them to become alumni of SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. They listened intently to Downstate’s President Dr. Wayne J. Riley as he told them “don’t dare stop until you’ve had enough”, essentially reminding them never to give up.  In addition to welcoming new alumni, Commencement 2019 gave the Alumni Association three more reasons to celebrate as Drs. Gerald Whitehead Deas, MD’62, Arthur Kaufman, MD’ 69 and Joel S. Levine, MD’ 71 also received honorary degrees!
