SUNY Downstate Announcements: 

February 22nd: SUNY Downstate was ranked fourth (by Castle Connolly Medical) in the United States among top medical schools for training the next generation of doctors.

March 1st: Dr. Eve Farber was featured in “Vaccine myths: 9 facts about vaccines everyone should know”. She was quoted saying ” Some families think that vaccinations are harmful to children, and natural immunity — getting the disease and then mounting an [immune] response — is better than vaccine immunity”.

March 5th: SUNY Downstate was featured in Crain New York’s “Morning 10: Diversity in Medicine.” The Office of Diversity, Education, and Research has awarded more than $52,000 in scholarships designed to help retain underrepresented students.
