White Coat Ceremony 2019

On August 15, 2019, Downstate Health Sciences University College of Medicine’s Class of 2023 was welcomed by Dr. Jeffrey Putman Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs and Dr. Michael Lucchesi Interim Dean, College of Medicine. Incoming first-year students then listened to Dr. Maurice Selby a member of the Class of 2014. He went on to complete his Emergency Medicine Residency Program at SUNY Downstate in 2018. Dr. Selby, who was in their shoes not too long ago, showed the Class of 2023 what it means to be a graduate of Downstate!
